Fever
Fever: When Should You Be Concerned?
Fever is often the body's natural response to infections caused by viruses, bacteria, or other pathogens.
If you become unwell, it is important to:
• Measure and record your body temperature.
• Note how many days the fever has been present.
• Observe associated symptoms such as:
Runny nose (rhinitis)
Headache
Nausea
Vomiting
Loose stools or diarrhea
Cough or sore throat
After this basic assessment, if you are not allergic to paracetamol (acetaminophen), you may take it according to the recommended dose based on your age and weight.
Seek medical attention if:
• The fever persists or worsens.
• You develop difficulty breathing, severe dehydration, confusion, severe pain, or other concerning symptoms.
• The fever does not settle despite appropriate treatment.
If your fever continues or you require medical advice, you are welcome to visit our clinic for further evaluation and treatment.
